The English Defence League (EDL) claim most of their supporters at a rally in Cambridge were from the city but were marched to the train station. Scores of the 400 officers who policed the rally and counter-demonstration held by Cambridge Unite Against Fascism, escorted about 30 EDL members to the station after their rally on Christs Pieces.
But in an article on the EDLs East Anglia Divisions website, a spokesman for the group claims the majority of the members actually live in the city.
